Many People in Our Community Need Mental Health Services But Do Not Seek Them Due To:
- Lack of Trust in Mental Health System & Stigmas
- Financial Concerns and Barriers
- Limited Access to Counselors, Healers and Other Wellness Professionals of the Same Ethnicity
Through Our Community Healing Project We Aim To:
- Make Psychological and Emotional healing more normative
- Provide individuals with the tools and services they need to achieve Freedom, Happiness and Balance despite income level
- Increase access to Wellness Professionals of African Descent
WHO WE ARE
Lion Heart Life Healing is a virtual and community healing practice focused on helping individuals increase balance, happiness and freedom in their lives. We are focused on increasing participation in healing services for people of African descent while improving the well being of individuals seeking help.
We have been providing services since 2015
WHAT WE’VE DONE
- We’ve provided over 120 hours of FREE healing annually to the community including support groups, healing groups and individual sessions.
- We have hosted and co-hosted over 50 FREE Healing Community Events in the state of Pennsylvania and North Carolina as well as Virtually
- We have created and compiled a multitude of informational tips, blogs and handouts that have been freely distributed
WHY WE ARE DOING THIS PROJECT
- When individuals are healed and happy, this positively affects the community as a whole
- Every individual deserves to receive the help and healing that they need
- Healing will help people of African descent achieve freedom, happiness and balance in all areas of their life
HOW WE AIM TO DO THIS
- By continuing to provide monthly Community Events & Virtual Events focused on health, healing and happiness
- By continuing to provide free and discounted sessions for those who are unable to afford standard session rates
- By continuing to provide a multitude informational handouts, books and resources focused on health, healing and happiness
