Many people in Wilmington, NC and surrounding areas have been drastically affected by Hurricane Florence. Traumatic events like hurricanes can cause mental distress in the form of depression, anxiety in addition to temporary or long term symptoms of PTSD.
In order to support those affected by the Hurricane in restoring balance in their lives, we will be holding a virtual support group via phone conference on Friday 9/21/18 at 4pm.
The group will begin with a calming meditation and give participants to share their feelings and receive emotional support during this difficult time.
The group will be led by master’s level mental health specialist and spoken word artist, Rhonda Sekhmet Ra.
The group is open to all but is currently limited to 10 participants. PLEASE RSVP by texting or calling 484-455-4542. Participants will receive log in information after RSVPing. Questions can also be directed to this number.
